We are most definitely planning a return trip next year.

guest services staff was off for the week when we were there, which was definitely disappointing, so I would recommend that you book activities ahead of your stay. We stayed in the Guest House for the first week and loved it and the Cabana the last part. The Cabana was very close to other bungalows and a bit loud, I wouldn't recommend it for families or for a long stay. Playa Escondida is truly a secret beach and well worth it. We can't wait to go back.

Now the highlight -- the pool area. It is brand new and I believe they have designed paradise. All sand, natural elements. The infinity pool! The Jacuzzi! The little waterfall!

This is not the Four Seasons, but for those of us who like a little rustic chic, this is the place for you.

The hot tub overlooks the ocean (everything pretty much overlooks the ocean) and the sunsets were spectacular.

This small hotel is absolutely wonderful. Not a TV, clock, wall, right angle or cruise ship in sight- just a wonderful beach surrounded by one of a kind accommodations.

Away from the maddening tourist crowds of Puerto Vallarta and the hawkers and expats in Sayulita, the Playa Escondida is truly special.

It was like arriving in paradise with the great bungalows, endless pool overlooking the ocean, beautiful flowers and palm trees and fantastic service.

If you like accommodations that incorporate the outdoors with the indoor living experience, quiet peaceful seclusion, and the ability to wear flip flops, bathing suit and cover up to dinner, then you're at the right place.

The fact that the beach is secluded, the staff beyond accommodating, beautiful accommodations, and amazing food made this place the best of all Mexico has to offer.

Everything about this place is truly amazing. I travel extensively for business and pleasure and always seek unique, out of the way places and Playa Escondida is one of if not the best experiences I have ever had.

The jungle dominates the property that spills down the side of a mountain and onto a spectacular beach.

One can not help but leave feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Fernando, and Diego, who made our trip that much more enjoyable. It was truly an unforgettable experience.

particularly impressed and inspired by the warm hospitality and genuine kindness displayed by your staff. Nova was a great host who went out of her way to drive us back to the hotel from San Pancho after midnight in a terrible storm because she was worried that the taxi drivers would not be able to find the hotel.

Oscar, Vicente, and Chuya were all so very kind every day of our trip and treated us like family. They even invited us to la fiesta de San Pancho and introduced us to their families and friends.
Finally, Fernando was an incredible and talented chef and host who would ask us each morning what we wanted to eat for dinner and would then cook our favorite foods for us later in the evening. He was like having our own private chef. Everyone on your staff goes above and beyond the call of duty and is what makes Playa Escondida one of the most special places in the world.

In summary, our vacation was an extremely relaxing, romantic, inspirational, and memorable experience. We will definitely return as soon as possible and have already, and will continue, to recommend Playa Escondida to all of our friends.

Your chef Fernando did a wonderful job with dinners, first class taste, presentation, always very fresh ingredients + carefully prepared. The massages were out of this world. WOW.

Prepare yourself for an amazing time, you won’t be disappointed. The very gentle storms at night in August were one of the best parts of the trip! Willa and I loved Sol 2, the location; outdoor shower to the Pacific Ocean was very cool. (You might want to check on availability of hot water in the bathroom).
